For the Love of Jerky

If you’re reading this page, I can probably guess one thing about you – you love jerky. Awesome. You’re in the right place.

Ever since I tasted my first piece of beef jerky back when I was 7 years old, I was hooked. There’s truly nothing like it. It sparked something in my taste buds which made me become more addicted with every bite I took.

Over the years, this delicious treat became an obsession. I wanted to not just eat jerky, but only eat the highest quality ones I could find.

And that turned out to be much harder than I thought…

You see, there’s a science to this whole “jerky” thing. There are tons of flavors… styles… spices… hardness and softness levels… which separate each piece of beef jerky. I’ve tried almost every commercial jerky brand out there and one thing became obvious to me – they weren’t trying hard enough.

The flavor was bland. The texture was weird. They were either too brittle or too thin. It left a bad after-taste in your mouth. And the more I ate it, the more it felt like I was biting into something that didn’t even resemble food anymore.

These larger companies became too focused on output rather than quality. They cared more about reaching their daily quotas, instead of delivering a product they could proudly stand behind.

How Tibbs Beef Jerky Was Born

I used to be fat. 260 pounds to be exact. It wasn’t fun.

My doctor told me one day, “Steve you’re fat and fat people keep me in business.” After this, it finally clicked to me that I needed to make a change. I needed to get my health back.

And that’s what I did…

I changed my lifestyle.

I started going to the gym.

And during all of this, making beef jerky became my passion.

I would give out pieces of my own jerky to friends, family, or anyone who was curious enough to taste it.

And people actually liked it – a lot. They even started to get mad at me when I couldn’t give them another batch of beef jerky fast enough.

Flash forward five years later, I took a simple hobby and grew it into a full-fledged business.

We now have 5 different mouth-watering flavors of jerky to choose from. Each one with its own unique blend of herbs and spices. And unlike commercial beef jerkies which are filled with “mystery meat,” chemicals, and other suspicious hormones, our beef jerky is made different. We only use ingredients you can trust, and the highest quality, USDA certified beef money can buy.

But that’s not all.

Tibbs Beef Jerky has no added nitrates or MSG in it either. Basically, this means we add zero stuff to our jerky which could potentially harm you. For example, in multiple studies nitrates have been linked to cause Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and even cancer.

Scary stuff.

That’s why quality has always been my number one priority. I want to make beef jerky that not only tastes good, but that’s also good for you too.
